LAKE WALES, Fla. – In men’s volleyball action it was a matchup of Royals as the NCAA-III Eastern Mennonite University Royals took down the Warner University Royals in straight sets 3-0 (30-21, 30-26, 30-26) on Thursday night.  The Warner Royals drop to 8-9 on the season while the Eastern Mennonite Royals improve to 6-9.

The Warner University men’s soccer team is proud to announce the signing of Julian Bernal of Miami, Fla.  Julian attends the highly touted Coral Reef Senior Magnet High School and also competed for the (club) nationally ranked Kendall Soccer Coalition.  Bernal recently signed his Letter of Intent to join the Warner soccer family.

DAVENPORT, Iowa – The Warner University men’s volleyball team returned to action for their first regular season match in over a month and performed well as they went 5-3 at the Fighting Bees Classic hosted by #4 St. Ambrose University (Iowa) this weekend. The Royals evened their record to 8-8 with a 5-7 conference mark.

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Warner University men’s tennis team took a break from conference action to take on University of St. Francis (Ill.) Saturday afternoon in Orlando, Fla. The Royals who were defeated 7-2 received strong play from Kevin Sokal who was involved in the Royals (0-5) two wins.

The Warner University men’s soccer team is proud to announce the signing of Daniel Marrugo, a Colombian native who played soccer in Colombia and for the Cagliaria Soccer Club.  Marrugo recently signed his Letter of Intent to join the Warner soccer family.

LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Warner University baseball team used a big first inning and timely defense to defeat Thomas University (Ga.) 7-4 in the championship game of the 25th Annual Warner University Invitational.  This marks the 14th time the Royals have won the tournament and their first since 2006.  The Royals went 4-1 in tournament play and improved their overall record to 11-12.  The Night Hawks fall to 15-6 with the defeat.

Men's Tennis
Sokal picked up two wins last week as he teamed with his doubles partner to defeat the University of St. Francis' #3 doubles team 6-1. He then carried the momentum from his doubles win into his singles match, where he defeated the Fighting Saints' #6 singles player 6-0, 6-4.
Baseball

Johnson led the Royals to a 5-1 week, including winning the 25th Annual Warner Invitational, the Royals first tournament championship since 2006. Johnson earned the Tournament MVP honors after batting .412 with two homerruns and six RBI's during the three-day event, earning him Sun Conference Player of the Week honors.
