Cory Johnson named Conference Player of the Week

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Sun Conference has picked Warner's Cory Johnson as the Player of the Week for games played Mar. 1-8, 2010.
Johnson led the Royals to a 5-1 week, including winning the 25th Annual Warner Invitational, the Royals first tournament championship since 2006. Johnson earned the Tournament MVP honors after batting .412 with two homeruns and six RBI's during the three-day event.
This marks the second consecutive week a Royal has earned Conference Player of the Week and the third for the year as Hunter Reed won the distinction last week and Dan Smith was honored earlier in the season.
