Slow First Half Dooms Royals

Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla.- The Royals women's basketball team hosted #23 ranked Milligan Buffaloes Wednesday night. The night did not start out how the Royals had planned as they only shot 18% from the field in the first half. The Royals slow start put them in a hole that was just too deep to get out of as they went into halftime down 46-17. The Buffaloes shot lights out from the field in the first half going 15-33 from the field and 7-13 from three point. In the second half, the Royals shot the ball better and ended up going 4-9 from beyond the arc, however it was not enough as the Buffaloes would still be able to stay on top and come away with a 82-46 win. The loss drops the Royals to 5-8 (1-3) on the season. Warner was led in the game by Kayla Guerrero with 9 points. Kashari James led the way on the boards with 8 rebounds and Cierra Wilson dished out the most assists with 4. Warner will be back on the hardwood Saturday December 17 at 2 pm as they will play host to Lindsey Wilson.
