AVE MARIA, Fla.-     The men's tennis team came up big at Ave Maria beating the Gyrenes 8-1 to improve to 2-0 on the season. The Royals were able to sweep every match they won and only dropping the single match on the day.

The Royals duo of Rafael A. Coutino and Rafael E. Coutinho were able to make quick work of the Gyrenes #1 doubles team 8-1. Rafael A. Coutinho and Rafael E. Coutinho were able to sweep their singles matches 6-3, 6-2 and 6-0, 6-2 respectively, playing in the #1 and #3 spots. Rafael Da Luz was able to win his singles match from the #5 spot 6-0, 6-0 to not lose a set in his singles match.

The Royals will be back in action Febrayary 23 at 12 pm as they take on Southeastern University up in Lakeland.
