AVE MARIA, Fla.- The Royals women's tennis team travelled down to Ave Maria February 17 in a conference match. The Royals were able to come away with a 9-0 sweep of the Gyrenes. The Royals are now 2-0 on the season as they drop the Gyrenes to 0-4.
The Royals were led in the singles by
Nhatalia Ocampo as she defeated Marianna Vargas 6-1, 3-6, 10-3 that was followed up by an 8-1 victory by
Fernanda Correa.Â
The doubles were highlighted in the #1 position by Ocampo and Correa as they won 9-7.Â
The Royals will be back in action February 23 in Lakeland as they take on Southeastern University at 12 pm.
