Lady Royals Sniped By NightHawks

THOMASVILLE, Georgia – I'munique Green and Sarah Poehlman throw up 13 pts a piece but Royals fall in conference to Thomas University 60-55.

GAME RECAP

The 1st quarter got under way with the lady Royals quickly trailing by 8, 13-5. Then I'munique Green and Kevona Gay combined for a 7 pt run to cut the lead sending the Royals into the 2nd quarter behind 1, 13-12.

The 2nd quarter had the Royals offense fire up as they took the lead quickly, then extending out to a 33-24 lead to finish out the half.

The 3rd quarter continued the trend as the Royals saw a 10 pt lead collapse as the Nighthawks tied it up 40-40. With 5 minutes remaining in the quarter, the Royals used an unanswered 10 pt run to extend back out to a 50-40 lead heading into the 4th quarter.

In what seemed to be a lock for the Royals as long as they held their ground, it quickly turned sour as the Nighthawks defense held the Royals to just 5 pts during the quarter and their offense exploded for 20 pts giving Thomas the victory 60-55.

FINAL THOUGHTS

The Royals fall to 4-7 overall with a 1-4 TSC record. I'munique Green and Sarah Poehlman both put up 13 pts a piece with Green adding 6 assists.
