Lady Royals Control Warriors In Rivalry To Win 3rd Straight

BABSON PARK, Fla. – Eight Royals register 4+ points to lead to a Sun Conference 58-51 victory over Webber International.

Alana St. Clair got things going in the 1st quarter draining a shot from beyond the arch. Cierra Wilson followed suit with a 3-pointer of her own just 40 seconds later and it was off to the races. The Warriors closed the gap throughout the quarter and it ended in a 12-12 tie.
To start the 2nd quarter it was the Warriors who jumped out to a 15-12 lead. However, that was quickly taken away as Sara Poehlman heated up for 10 points in the 2nd quarter alone. The Royals took a 32-24 lead into halftime.

In the 2nd half, the Warriors cut into the lead taking it down to as little as a 2 point Royal lead before ending the 3rd quarter with the Royals up by 6, 42-36. The Royals led by 10 twice in the 4th quarter and the Warriors clipped away both times. Until, Daijah Turner was fouled late in the quarter and made both of the free-throws just about putting the Warriors to bed. The Warriors turned the ball over quickly and fouled D'Asia James who in turn made 1 of 2 free-throws and sealed the deal for the Royals.

The Lady Royals improve to 12-12 on the year and extend to a 3-game win streak.
