Warner Royals Soccer Share Overtime Thriller With Nationally Recognized Keiser Seahawks

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Royals and (RV)Seahawks saw a double overtime thriller end in a tie. The Royals now sit at 11-3-1, 5-2-1 TSC while Keiser now stands at 8-3-2, 4-2-1 TSC.

It was an offense battle as the Royals registered 22 shots with 13 on goal in the contest. Answering the Royals, the Seahawks had 18 shots with 10 on goal.

It was the Seahawks that struck first just under 5 minutes into the game scoring off the Royals own goal. The Royals then evened it up at 1-1 when Matheus Santiago netted his 9th goal of the season as he found the goal past a diving keeper. Sebastian Espino and the Seahawks broke the tie with just 00:16 left in the first half with a one timer off of a cross from Damine and Lobos. Ciro Damine struck again for the Seahawks just a couple minutes into the second half giving Keiser the 3-1 lead. 10 minutes later, Daniel Rodriguez fired a rocket to the back of the net with an assist to Kenolson Collin bring the Royals within 1. Just 1 minute later, Daniel Rodriguez again found the net for his 12th goal of the season with an unassisted shot from the right side of the box that found the near post. Amine Meski and the Seahawks broke the 3-3 tie in the 67th minute with a shot past the Royals keeper. With 1:33 left in the second half, Matheus Santiago found a deflection off a shot from Devyn Hencil and the Royals tied everything up at 4-4.
The game remained tied through both overtime periods and both teams earned a tie. It was a very clean game as only 11 fouls occurred in the match, however, with only 11 fouls, 6 yellow cards were issued and 1 red card given to the Seahawks.

With both teams receiving a tie, the race for the playoffs continues to tighten as the Royals are down to their last game against Johnson and Wales next Saturday.
