LAKE WALES, Fla. – Warner Tennis battled in the 2018 Youth Tennis Foundation of Florida's annual tournament this past weekend. There was beautiful weather for the players as a slight cold front began to move in which allowed for some prime tennis weather.
 
Back Draw
In the back draw matches Annaleigh Collings came out victorious, winning her 1^st round match 9-7, she won her 2^nd round match 6-0 and finally she won the championship match 6-3! Collings defeated SEU's Dunagan, WIU's Watson and SEU's Marshall en route to her title.
 
Women's Doubles
In the 1^st round of doubles Tampa's Lozo/Nice defeated Warner's Paula Ordonez and Annaleigh Collings 6-2.
 
Marla Mesa Montoya and Andrea Silva had a bye in the 1^st round; in the 2^nd round they won 8-6 against Tampa's Tat'ni/Palmgren. In the 3^rd round Manatee's Jamal/Goncalves defeated Montoya and Silva 6-0.
 
Savannah Hancock and Veronica Kamoi also had a 1^st round bye but were defeated 6-1 in the 2^nd round by Manatee's Rodriguez/Thomas.
Men's Doubles
Matheus Aquino and Vitor Wagner had a 1^st round bye, then won in the 2^nd round 6-2 against Southeastern's Glowaki/Bahnluk; but in the 3^rd round Aquino and Wagner were defeated 6-1 by ASA's Ingles/Dure Nunez.
 
In the 1^st round Warner's Filipe Gil and Julian Cuartas were defeated 6-1 by IND.'s Pires/Martinez.
 
Warner's Bruno Carvalho and Antonio Santos were defeated 6-3 in the 1^st round by Southeastern's Barbosa/Santos.
Women's Singles
Annaleigh Collings was defeated in the 1^st round by Webber's Neihoff 6-2 and 7-5.
 
Savannah Hancock was defeated 6-1 and 6-2 in the 1^st round by SEU's Backherms.
 
Veronica Kamoi won her 1^st round match against Webber's Watson 6-0 and 6-0. Kamoi was her 2^nd round match 7-5 and 6-2 against SEU's Backherms but was defeated in the 3^rd round by Webber's Neihoff 6-1 and 10-1.

Julian Cuartas won in the 1^st round 6-2 and 6-3 against IND.'s Thomas but was defeated in the 2^nd round 6-3 and 6-3 by IND.'s Ahlbech.
 
Vitor Wagner was defeated 6-0 and 6-0 in the 1^st round by Webber's Hasegawa.
 
Filipe Gil won 6-0 and 6-1 in the 1^st round against Ave Maria's Rizk but in the 2^nd round was defeated 6-1 and 10-2 by SEU's Glowaki.
 
Bruno Carvalho won in the 1^st round 6-1 and 6-4 against Webber's Hall but was defeated 6-4 and 6-1 by IND.'s Pires in the 2^nd round.
 
Antonio Santos was defeated in the 1^st round by IND.'s Branstner 6-1 and 6-3.
