LAKE WALES – FLA. This afternoon, the Warner University Women's Basketball Team went head to head with NCAA Division II opponent, Emmanuel College. Despite a strong second half for the Royals, the Lions came out on top by a score of 64-53.
Warner started the game ahead, as they scored 14 points in the very first quarter and Emmanuel only scored 10. This was the last time the Royals would lead, as Emmanuel had an explosive second half, outscoring Warner 23-5 in the second quarter alone.
However, Warner was able to battle back from a 22 point deficit to cut the Lion lead way down.
The Royals regrouped during halftime and came out swinging in the second half, but it was just not enough as they just couldn't quite catch up to the Lions.

D'Asia James,
Randi Chandler, and
Mathilde Couppe De K Martin.
