Warner Women’s Basketball – Night Hawks Narrowly Escape Royals Despite James And Daphney Double-Doubles

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The lady Royals fell tonight to the hand of the Night Hawks despite big 4thquarter play. 
 
Warner started off hot outscoring Thomas 14-10 in the first quarter. The Royals took a 23-22 lead into halftime. 
 
The third quarter saw the Night Hawks pull away with a 39-32 lead. The Royals did their best to claw back in the fourth taking the quarter 23-19 but unfortunately falling 58-55 in the end. 
 
The Royals D'Asia James had a massive night with 18 points and 10 rebounds giving her a double-double also adding 2 takeaways. 
 
Cheyenne Daphney was a force to be reckon with on the boards as she came away with 13 rebounds and 12 points finishing with a double-double as well. 
 
Daijah Turner also finished the game in double digits with 13 points and continues her streak with the Nations best adding 3 more steals to her totals. 
 
Despite the double-doubles of James and Daphney the Royals efforts fell just shy of the Night Hawks.
