LAKE WALES – FLA. This afternoon, the Warner University Women's Basketball Team went head to head with conference opponent St. Thomas University, who is receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 Polls. Despite a strong first half, the Royals dropped this game by a score of 78-58, making their overall record 6-12.
The Royals struck first blood and never allowed the Bobcats to gain a lead throughout the first half, with their largest lead being 10 points in the second quarter. Warner played very well until the Bobcats gained a lead, from which the Royals could not recover. Warner seemed to run out of steam and allowed St. Thomas to jump ahead 20 points by the end of the fourth quarter.
Alana St. Clair led the Royals both offensively and defensively with her 18 points and 10 rebounds double double. Also scoring double digit points were
Daijah Turner and
Randi Chandler, with 13 and 11 points respectively.
Although the Royals were not able to fully capitalize on their shots from the field, the ladies made all but one of their free throws for their second game in a row. Â

th at 5:30 PM.
