LAKE WALES, Fla. – Warner University and Truett-McConnel met for the first time on the court in the two school's histories. It was the Bears that edged out the Royals 65-62.
The Royals trailed the Bears 12-15 after the first quarter then battled back to take a halftime 32-31 lead into the locker room. The second half stayed close through the remainder of the game as the Royals fell 62-65.
Troi Grant put up career best numbers as she finished the game with 25 points hitting 8-17 from the field.
Alana St. Clair had a season high 20 points and finished with a double-double having 14 rebounds.
D'Asia James also had a night for her career amassing 4 blocks. She also finished with 4 points, 4 steals and 6 rebounds.
Next Up, the Royals await New Year's Eve when they welcome Dakota State University to the Turner Athletic Center for a 12:00 p.m. tipoff.
