LAKE WALES – FLA. The Warner University Women's Basketball Team celebrated their lone senior,
Randi Chandler, in this afternoon's contest. Unable to come up with a conference win on senior day, the Florida Memorial University Lions took the win over the Royals by a score of 66-52.
In her senior season, Chandler has managed to contribute a total of 154 points, 15 steals, 40 assists, and 77 rebounds. In today's game, Chandler scored 5 points, had 6 assists, and 3 rebounds.
After jumping ahead 5 points to the Lion's 0 points, the Royals were unable to keep up a lead. However, Florida Memorial was electric as they scored 29 points in the first quarter alone.
With
Daijah Turner sidelined from today's competition with an injury, it was
Cheyenne Daphney who stepped up and led the Royals with her double double 11rebounds and 12 points scored.
Valeria Merlos also contributed to the total score this afternoon with 11 points of her own.
Up next, the Royals will be back in the TAC on Thursday February 14
th, in their last home game of the season, starting at 5:30 PM.
