In the first doubles matchup,
Andrea Silva and
Marla Mesa Montoya (WU) defeated Dani Stevenson and Francielly da Silva (MBU) 8-2.
The second matchup saw
Paula Ordonez and
Annaleigh Collings (WU) defeated Maria Brandt and Hannah Chaney (MBU) 8-3.
In the final doubles match, Rafaela Davide and Emily Brown (MBU) defeated
Danieris Santiago and
Veronica Kamoi (WU) 8-6.

Last week, both Men's and Women's Tennis Teams competed in Hilton Head, South Carolina for a Spring Break tournament. The Lady Royals brought home 2 wins and one loss. Their wins came against Edinboro University of Pennsylvania 7-2 and NCAA DII Wilkes University 6-1. The one loss came from NCAA DII West Liberty University 2-5.
Also over the last week, sophomore
Andrea Silva received her first NCCAA student athlete of the week title for the 2019 season and has reached a 5 match win streak at the No. 1 singles position. The St. Petersburg, Florida native won 6-4, 6-4 in her singles match and 6-2 at No. 1 doubles against NCAA DII West Liberty University.
