LAKE NONA, Fla. – Warner University Tennis kicked off their 2020 spring season in a powerful matchup with (RV) Southeastern.
Warner faced a tough matchup in the NAIA (RV) Southeastern Fire. They were able to take a #1 doubles win and #1 singles win but fell short of the Fire dropping 1-6 in the season opener.

Jose Martinez said, "It was a difficult way to start the season against a tough conference opponent. We did not have the desired result, but were able to identify key areas we can improve on immediately."

#2 Doubles: SEU's Ortega and Barbosa defeated WU's
Julian Cuartas and
Vitor Wagner (6-2).
#3 Doubles: SEU's Haas and Lichter defeated WU's
Bruno Carvalho and
Jake Edwards (6-2).
Southeastern earned the overall point for the doubles matchup by winning two of three doubles.
