Warner Women’s Basketball – Royals Topple Eagles For Second Straight Win

LAKE WALES, Fla. – Warner improves to 6-0 all-time over the Eagles with an 82-60 win this afternoon.
 
The Royals proved yet again tough to beat at home in the Turner Athletic Center. With this afternoons win the Royals stand 3-1 when in the T.A.C. and have won their second straight.
 
The Royals implemented a strong game plan that led to four double digit scorers and two double-doubles.
 
Haley Gantt finished the day as a rebound machine with a season high 21 boards (7 defensive, 14 offensive). Gantt's 14 points gave her a very strong double-double. D'Asia James also registered a double-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds and adding 2 blocks and 2 steals. Playing just 16 minutes, Avery Fogel nailed 6-11 from 3-point range finishing the game with a Royals high 18 points. Isabella Lopez also rallied for 12 points while spreading the ball around for a game leading 6 assists.
 
As a team, the Royals snagged 56 rebounds and shot for a combined 44% from the field. Warner head coach Nikki Jessee said, "We did great on the boards and taking care of the ball. Defensive rotations looked better and we're just trying to get a little better each day, which we did today."
 
The Royals remain undefeated all-time against the Eagles are 6-0 in a series that dates back to 10-31-2015.
