BABSON PARK, Fla. – With a 78-44 victory, the Webber International Warriors have swept the Warner Royals In 2019-2020 Sun-Conference Play.
The Royals played good team basketball today, moved the ball around a lot, finding many different people open to score as they had 9 different girls score.
However, no one was able to score double-digits, as
D'Asia James was the leading scorer with 9 points.
Webber did a terrific job of shutting down the Royals, holding leading scorer this season,
Troi Grant, to only 7 shots in the game.
Troi Grant leads the Royals with 328 total points this season, but is best known for her defense, ranking in at #41 in the NAIA for total steals with 59 and ranking #44 in steals per game with 2.4.
Grant is only a junior and is likely to return for her senior campaign along with fellow junior and team captain
D'Asia James, who is 3
rd in total scoring for the Royals this year with 230 season points and ranks in at #42 in the NAIA for offensive rebounds per game with 3.
