Warner Women’s Basketball - Royals Drop Season Series To Warriors

BABSON PARK, Fla. - Warner registered four players in the double digit column, but their efforts fell short of the Warriors who took the win 69-61. 

 

Alysa Augustin led the offense for the Royals with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals and making 7-8 free throw attempts. Dianis Hurtado and D'Asia James both put up 13 points each and combined for 15 total rebounds. Haley Gannt finished her night with 12 points and added to her Sun Conference leading blocks with 1 more. 

 

The Royals struggled early falling in the first quarter to the Warriors 22-11. They gained a few back in the second quarter outscoring the Warriors 19-15 for a halftime score of 37-30 in favor of Webber International. The Warriors took the third quarter 18-12 and the Royals battled back to take the fourth quarter 19-14. All said and done the Royals trailed the Warriors by just 8 with a final score of 69-61. 

 

Warner is on a six game slide to the conference rivals Webber International. With the loss, the Royals fall to 6-13 overall and 1-11 in Sun Conference play. The Warriors improve to 12-4 overall with a Sun Conference record of 8-3.
