LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Royals took a win from cross-county rivals Southeastern, improving their overall record to 5-3-4 overall and 1-1-2.
The last time these two teams faced each other the match went into overtime and the Fire took the win.
In the 18
th minute,
Eduardo DaSilva scored his 7
th goal of the season to put to tie the game, which was assisted by
Deven Ingley. Freshman,
Julian Rodriguez scored his 2
nd goal of the season to take the lead. The Royals went into halftime 2-1 Warner up.
In the second half Warner went out with the same energy and in the 57
th minute Senior,
Dawson Johnson scored a goal assisted by
Deven Ingley to improve the score to 3-1. The Fire answered back and score in the 69
th minute to cut the lead by one. With about 20 minutes remaining in the game,
Kendy Pierre scored his first goal of the season to make the game 4-2.
The Royals will travel to Thomasville, Ga. to play another SUN matchup on Saturday, October 9 at 10:30 am.
