KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Royals lose the opening game to Columbia International University in the NCCAA National Tournament.
The Royals faced Columbia International University for their opening round. Although the Royals lost 2-1 to the Rams, they still have a chance in the NCCAA National Tournament. The last time these two teams faced each other dates to 2018. The Royals took the win back in 2018 against Columbia International.
Columbia International struck first with an unassisted goal against the Royals in the 27
th minute of the game. Eight minutes later Warner University's own
Kendy Pierre scored his second goal of the season in the 35
th minute of the game after intercepting a pass from the Rams and shooting into the far post. The Royals dominated on the offensive side of the ball having 17 total shots compared to the Rams who had 13. It still would not be enough to take down the Rams.
The Royals next matchup will be against Bethesda University on Tuesday, November 30
th, 1:00 pm.
