Warner Women's Basketball - Royal's Win First Game in Warner Classic Tournament

LAKE WALES, Fla. – Royals win in fashion versus Bethel University 94-86 in the Warner Classic Tournament.

The Royals came out with determination to win their first game in the Warner Classic Tournament. The last time the Royals faced the Pilots dates back to 2006. The Royals capitalized on rebounds as they recorded 51 total on the night. Warner's bench had a total of 47 points compared to Bethel's bench who only had 38. Warner shot 48% from the field against the Pilots, Bethel shot 31% from the field. Haley Gantt led the Royals with 20 points on the night. She was one rebound away from a double-double, she came down with 9 rebounds vs the Pilots. Dianis Hurtado and Chanelle McDonald were right behind Gantt in total points, they both had 16 points in the contest. McDonald also had 10 rebounds. Jasmine Edwards tore up the offensive and defensive rebounds coming down with 16 total rebounds during the game. 

The Royals will play Sterling College on day two of the Warner Christmas Classic on Friday, December 17, at 2:00 pm.
