LAKE WALES, Fla. - Warner finished off the Nighthawks in the final minute of the game to earn their final home victory of the regular season.
Warner notched their seventh victory of the season taking down the Nighthawks 58-56. It was Carely Price that showed poise nailing two free throws in the final minute that lifted the Royals to the eventual victory. Haley Gantt came through big for the Royals defense as the Nighthawks missed a three point shot in the final seconds then tried a last effort layup that was blocked by Gantt to preserve the win.
D'Asia James fired up the Royals offense to the tune of 19 points and finished one rebound shy of a double double with 9. James made 6-10 from the floor and also 7-10 from the charity stripe. Haley Gantt finished the game with 3 blocks including the game preserving stop, she also had 13 points making 3-4 from beyond the arc and pulled in 6 defensive rebounds.
The Royals still have their final road game of the season traveling to the College of Coastal Georgia on saturday with tipoff scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
