LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Royals netted three goals in the spring home opener against the Gyrenes to take the win. 

The Royals opened up with a quick scoring chance in just the first couple minutes of play. Warner found pay dirt in the 37th minute when the Royals had back to back scoring chances and it was Ian Brugal that scored the first goal of his season off a loose ball right in front of the net. The assist was credited to Marin Klapuh for his fourth of the season. 

The Gyrenes evened things up in the 54th minute on a successful header off a corner kick. 

Dawson Johnson found the net just four minutes later in the 58th minute with an assist from Dillon Giambrone.

In the final minute of play, Dawson Johnson netted his second goal of the game and fourth of the season. Johnson received a great pass from Juan Gazotti and then dribbled nearly half of the field with more than a step on the nearest defender before knocking it home and sealing the deal for the Royals.

Warner defeated Ave Maria 3-1 to earn their third win of the season and their first win of the spring portion of their season.
