Warner Women’s Basketball - Royals TSC Postseason Run Comes To An End At (11) Southeastern

LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Royals drew one of the toughest matches to kick off their Sun Conference Tournament and unfortunately, it was the Fire that came out on top.

The Royals played their final game of the 2020-21 campaign this evening in a tough matchup against the NAIA (11) Southeastern Fire in Lakeland. It was the Fire that will advance to the semifinal matchup with a final score of 92-57.

D'Asia James has been a staple player in a Royals uniform and finished out her season in a big fashion with 18 points on the night and surpassing 300 points on the season with 315. James practically rewrote her career bests as she finished the season with career highs in rebounds (209), free throws made (74), three pointers made (6), and field goals made (109).

Shelby Gard nailed 4 three pointers tonight finishing the game with 12 points and also finishing the season with several Royal career highs. Haley Gantt added 11 rebounds to her totals tonight and finished the season with 209 rebounds and also 3 blocks. Gantt finished the season ranked #17 in the country in blocks.

Warner will enter the offseason having made the TSC postseason tournament for the first time in five years. They finish with several team and individual NAIA top rankings.
