Warner Women’s Tennis – Royals Fall In Sun Conference Matchup to (RV) Fire

LAKELAND, Fla. – Warner fell to the (RV) Southeastern Fire in Lakeland at Beerman Family Tennis Complex on Saturday.
 
History of the Matchup
 
The overall history of the two programs facing off against each other tips heavily in favor of the Southeastern Fire. The Royals are 2-13 all-time against the Polk County rival. Wanrer fell to the (RV) Fire yesterday 1-6 losing their third straight contest to Southeastern. In the past three matchups, the Fire have outscored the Royals with a combined 21-2.

Doubles (by order of finish)
 
The Royals fell in doubles play despite a good fight from the #1 position.
 
#3 Keren Alves and Irene Arias fell to Mia Dunagan and Nadezda Bijelic in the first doubles to finish with a final score of 1-6. As a double, Alves and Arias fall to 1-3 on the season.
 
#2 Ellie Burningham and Savannah Hancock fell to Beatricec Letiza and Gabby Marshall failing to register a point with a final of 0-6. This is just the second time Burningham and Hancock have competed as a double together and they fall to 0-2 on the season.
 
#1 Marla Mesa Montoya and Danieris Santiago fought hard but would fall to Priscilla Baptista and Abigail Damon 4-6. Montoya and Santiago fall to 1-2 as a double on the season.

#6 Keren Alves and Abigail Damon finished first with Damon overcoming Alves 0-3. Keren Alves falls to 0-4 overall and 0-3 in TSC play.
 
#5 Savannah Hancock and Gabby Marshall tipped in favor of Marshall (6-0, 6-0) over Hancock. Savannah Hancock falls to 1-4 on the season overall and 0-2 in TSC play.
 
#1 Marla Mesa Montoya and Beatricec Letizia went to Letizia (6-0, 2-6). Montoya falls to 0-5 overall and 0-3 in TSC play.
 
#4 Ellie Burningham registered three points against Priscila Baptista before falling (2-6, 1-6). Burningham falls to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in TSC play.
