Warner Royals Celebrate 50th Year Of Sports

LAKE WALES, Fl - Warner University is happy to announce its celebration of 50 years of sports.

Warner University is celebrating its 50th Year of Sports and the Athletic Department will be hosting different events throughout the year promoting the growth that Warner Athletics has had since its inception in 1973.

Over the course of 50 years, Warner University's athletic programs have showcased the talent, determination, and sportsmanship of countless athletes - leaving a lasting impact on the institution's history. Throughout the decades, Warner University and its athletic programs experienced significant growth, in terms of competitiveness, school size and the number of sports offered. Today, Warner University houses 22 athletic teams with 13 of those being played on campus.

The impact that Warner University has made over the years reaches beyond the court or field; the emphasis on character development, discipline, and fellowship has helped shape well-rounded individuals who carry the values instilled by their athletic experiences into their personal and professional lives. Warner athletes have gone on to achieve success in various fields, making a positive difference in their communities and embodying the spirit of Warner University.

We are excited to host multiple alumni events which will include an alumni kickball game during Homecoming, Duke's Birthday Bash in the Spring, athletic Chapel Speakers and each sport will host an alumni game or event throughout the year. We will also run two fundraisers this year starting with the 50 for 50 Fundraising Project this fall and Dukes Day of Donations in the spring, to help grow athletics here at Warner. Please check out our fall schedule of events to see how you can join in on the celebration and check back for spring events later this year.

"In the last 50 years we have had over 6,000 athletes join the Royal Family! Each of you has been a part of creating a wonderful legacy as Warner Athletics has experienced growth in so many areas over the years," said Athletic Director Chrissy Moskovits. "We are thrilled to celebrate you as much as we are our athletic department. I hope that you'll join us on campus for some of these wonderful events and hopefully you'll be reunited with some old teammates and meet our new Royals."

In addition to the many alumni events, Warner Athletics is excited to announce two events that will showcase the history of Warner Athletics! We are looking for submissions for our Time Capsule and nominations for the 50 Greatest Moments of Warner Athletics. We will be closing submissions for the time capsule and 50 Greatest Moments in early spring. Be on the lookout for the top 50 Greatest Moments and presented in the spring on the Royals Sports Network. Both projects will be used to celebrate our history as an athletic department!

Please start thinking about ways you can contribute to these special events and visit the submission pages for each project at https://warnerroyals.com. We look forward to seeing all of the fun news articles, pictures, videos and memorabilia that you send in!
