LAKE WALES, Fl - Warner University 's Women's Volleyball Volunteer Assistant Coach,
Andy Pai, has been chosen to be the Head Coach of the Department of Defense Paralympic sport of Sitting Volleyball team at the 2023 Invictus games that will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Coach Pai will also support the para-sports of Wheelchair Rugby and Wheelchair Basketball. The Invictus Games was founded by Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, where 21 countries' wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women compete in Paralympic style sports for medals. This pathway to recovery was designed after the USA Department Defense Warrior Games, Andy has been coaching and involved, since the 2010 inception.
At this year's 2023 Warrior Game challenge in San Diego,
Andy Pai coached his team to a gold medal, where Duke of Sussex was there to cheer on the transitioning military athletes.
Andy and his wife,
Linda Pai, Warner University Women's Volleyball Head Indoor and Beach teams, coach Sitting Volleyball in the Warrior Games for Team Socom and Team Army, as well as for the pipeline programs for the USA Paralympic Sitting Volleyball and Para-Beach Volleyball programs.
