LAKE WALES, Fla - The Royals will host the Southeastern Fire in a Sun Conference matchup this afternoon in the Turner Athletic Center.
This afternoon the Royals play a Sun conference matchup against Southeastern Fire. The Royals are coming off a two game conference win streak looking to extend the win a move up to 4-3 in conference but tasked with knocking off conference powerhouse Southeastern who is entering this game with 5-1 straight conference wins. Early on in the first Quarter of play the Royals looked to have the answer to Southeastern keeping a two point lead against them but the Fire seemed to find their shot in the 2nd quarter, taking the lead.
Jasmine Edwards has been finding her shot in this half in hopes to bring the Royals back in this making 16 points before the half and on track to get a double double in this one. Along with
Bianca Francis who is leading in rebounds for her team with six rebounds and four points. They enter the half down 24-44 Fire up with 20 minutes of play remaining. Coming into the half the Royals could not find the answer to the fire in this half struggling to keep up with the rapid increase in the lead.
Jasmine Edwards did all she could to bring the Royals back leading in points with 19 and
Bianca Francis with an impressive 15 point and 11 rebounds bringing her to another double double tonight. The Royals take the loss tonight but will have another chance against the Fire when they play them again February 24th, in Lakeland, Fla to end the regular season conference play.
