Box Score ROCK MOUNT, NC- The Royals travel to North Carolina to face off against North Carolina Wesleyan in a non-conference matchup.

The Royals hit the road heading North Carolina to face off against the first opponent of the two game road trip, North Carolina Wesleyan. After winning two games on the road last week the Royals plan to keep their streak alive and two more before their home opener February 23rd. In this matchup the Royals came out on fire with the first goal of the night coming from Abbie Petrillo within the first minute of the game allowing for us to take and keep the lead for the entirety of the game. In the first quarter of play the Royals offense continued to keep the pressure on the Wesleyan defense scoring eight goals within the first quarter of play and holding them to a single point. We see Bailey Dykes, Vannesa Lynch, Abbie Petrillo this quarter really building a comfortable lead for the Royals. In the second quarter it was the same story getting to see some new players getting some goals like Elizabeth Hayn and Lily Proctor getting goals of their own building the Royals lead to a 14-2 lead entering the half. For the last half of play the Royals kept their foot on the gas keeping the game out of reach with some finals goals coming from Bailey Dykes in the third and some from Bailey Lightsey and Monserrat Anaya-Lopez in the fourth to finish off the game. The Royals lead 19-5 to end their game as they travel to St. Andrews for their next road trip game.
