GAINESVILLE, Fla - The Warner Royals traveled up I-75 to Gainesville, FL to compete in the Celebration Pointe Classic at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center at Celebration Pointe Indoor Track and Field Complex. The Women traveled a total of 11 athletes to The Celebration Pointe Classic.
In the Men 60m Dash, Xander Brown crossed the line in the new seasons best of 6.96. That mark moves him up to 11th on The Sun Conference Performance List.
In the Men 200m Dash, Xander Brown,
Daishaun Gossett, Omar Vasquez and
Rickkem Henry took to the starting line. The top time was shared with Xander Brown and
Daishaun Gossett at 22.71. Daishaun, Omar and Rickkem ran personal bests in this event.
In the Men's 400m Run Daishaun, Omar and Rickkem competed to the best of their ability. Daishaun's time of 50.19 is good enough for a #8 in the Sun Conference and Omar's time of 50.43 is good enough for #12 on The Sun Conference List.
In the Men's 600m Run,
Hector Perez, Zach Russel,
Anton Jones and
Jamari Hopkins all secured personal bests in the grueling three lap race. Their times of 1:23.32/ #3, 1:25.27/ #7, 1:25:35/ #8, 1:31.29/ #23 are all inside the top 23 marks on the Sun Conference Performance List.
In the Men's 1000m Caleb Floresta and Xavier Rios set new personal bests in the 1,000m race.
The times of 2:48.13 and 2:53.02 are #11 and #14 on the Sun Conference Performance List.
In the Men's Mile, Caleb Floresta, set the Freshman Record in the Mile with a time of 4:35.16 and came dangerously close to all time school record of 4:34.
In the Men's 5,000m Caleb Floresta, also set the Freshman Record in the 5k with a time of 16:54.74 which is currently ranked #12 on The Sun Conference Performance List.
In the Men's 4 x 400m run The Royal Men achieved a new season's best with a time of 3:25.86 which is currently #5 on the Sun Conference Performance List.
In the Men's High Jump Nate Dawes, Zachery Russel and
Rickkem Henry all achieved personal bests in the event. Nate and Zach both cleared 1.83m and Rickkem cleared 1.73m. Tied #5 and #10 on The Sun Conference Performance List.
In the Men's Pole Vault, Freshman Record Holder,
Jonathan Grant jumped 4.40m to take 5th place
He is currently tied for 1st in the Sun Conference Performance List. Grant, is also the Top Freshman Pole Vaulter in the NAIA in the nation.

Coach T on Men's Team: The Men's team showed some great improvement in their individual events as all athletes are progressing in all of their events heading into Championship season. Warner University Men's Team are creating waves and other programs are taking notice. We are on the right track and must keep growing as young men and student athletes.
