LAKE WALES, FL- The Royals looked to remain impressive throughout the season as they faced off against the University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy.
The Royals coming off a loss in their first conference game of the season, looked to bounce back as they hosted their visitors from Saint Louis. The Royals would start off quickly due to Abby Petrillo scoring the first goal of the match and then followed it by finding an open
Monserrat Anaya-Lopez for an early two point lead. The Eutectics would quickly tie the game before
Bailey Dykes would break the tie with an unassisted goal. The Eutectics would score once more, tying the game at 3 to 3. Heading into the second quarter, the Royals were aggressive as they would score 4 times in the quarter, Petrillo would score twice, one from an assist by Lopez and Dykes and
Bailey Lightsey would score the other two goals in the quarter. Coming off an impressive first half, the Royals would quickly score starting off the third, as Dykes would split the tight defense allowing for an open look for her third goal of the match and a few minutes later she would score her 4th goal of the match. Dykes would get her first assist of the match allowing Petrillo to score her third goal of the match. Leading and heading into the final quarter of play, two goals coming from Dykes and
Vanessa Lynch's first of the match would increase the Royals lead to 12 to 4. The Eutectics would continue to fight and would score three more goals but your Royals tough play would secure a victory by a score of 12 to 7. The Royals gear up and look for their second win in a row as they face off against Oglethorpe University on March 19th at 5:00 PM.
