ATLANTA, GA- The Royals looked to remain dominant as they were in the regular season as they geared up for postseason play.
    In their first playoff game, the Royals faced off against their crooked lake rivals from Webber International University. The Royals got a stand out performance from
Kayla Ludwig as she would record 172 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 4 sacks. The Royals broke the tie in the third quarter with 5:49 on the clock as
Nicolette DeSimone would get a 7 yard pass from Ludwig in  the endzone giving the Royals an early lead. The Royals would continue to apply pressure as in the 4th quarter,
Allison Mongeotti would get a 17 yard pass from Ludwig and give the Royals a 14 -0 lead with 10:27 on the clock. The Royals would put up multiple stops as they would hold the Warriors scoreless and take this game by a score of 14-0.Â
After a strong win against the Warriors, the Royals faced off against Ottawa University. The Royals found themselves trailing early on in the first quarter, but would quickly answer back with 1:46 on the clock as
Adriana Williams would tie up the game from a 6 yard pass from Ludwig tying up the game at 7-7. The Royals played tough defense but Ottawa University would continue applying pressure as they would score in the third quarter and the 4th increasing their lead to 21-7. With time winding down and 5:13 on the clock in the final quarter of the game, the Royals showed the fight and resiliency that they have shown all season long as
Ana Vincensini would score, bringing the Royals closer by 13-21. However, Ottawa and the Royals would continue to play tough defense against one another as Ottawa would take this one by a score of 21-13. The Royals had a great season as  they started off the season undefeated and would continue their impressive play throughout the season as they finished with a 17-3 record and 7-1 in conference play. Congratulations to the Royals for their impressive run, they will look to continue to improve for the 2025 Flag football season!
