Box Score LAKE WALES, FL - The Warner Royals take to the rain soaked battlefield the night of September 28, 2024, for a SUN Conference match up against the SCAD Bees. Strawberry skies would emerge from above joined by parents from Georgia and Florida filling the stands.

The first 10 minutes of the match began with two early goals from SCAD player Mario Goic, the Royals answered with an incredible throw into the box from Joseph Street to Vlad Anderson who while splitting two defenders tucked the ball right around SCAD's keeper to put us 1-2 at half-time. 

Going into the second half of the game both teams played slower looking for an opportunity to equalize for the Royals or score for the Bees. The game would go on and unfortunately for the Royals the Bees would score one more time in the last 7 minutes of the game putting the final score 1-3.


Post Game Interview:
We interviewed Head-Coach Drew Stacey after the match about his thoughts on the match and he said, "What we did well, we fought, we battled that's what we always do, they always give effort, that's what we always do well we always give a good effort. They always stay in it, they never give up. Our fitness is pretty good, but those aren't the things that are going to win us the game." We also asked him what he is looking forward to this season and the future his response was, "We need to get healthy, we haven't had a starting line-up healthy since we started this season. It has been a weird challenge for us since we have had so many injuries. We have not had a starting 11 out there yet." Excited to see the Royals with all cylinders firing going into the second half of the semester.
