Ave Maria, Fla. – October 11, 2025 – The Warner University Cross Country teams competed at the 2025 Ave Maria Invitational on Saturday morning, turning in strong performances against a competitive field.
The Men's Cross Country team earned a 5th place team finish in the four-mile race, highlighted by consistent efforts from the entire lineup. Dylan Atwater led the Royals with a 30th-place finish and a time of 22:59. Close behind, Cameron Gonzalez crossed the line in 35th at 23:29.8, followed by Steven Twiss (37th – 23:31.6), Derick Gomez (38th – 23:33.5), and Anton Jones (41st – 23:49.4).
On the women's side, Amirah Johnson had an outstanding race, finishing 9th overall in the 5K with a time of 20:00.8, earning her a spot on the Top 10 Finishers Podium. Alexa Molina followed with an impressive 14th-place finish, recording a personal best time of 20:14.4.

The Royals continue to show steady improvement as they move deeper into their 2025 season. Up next for the Running Royals, is the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge located in Grand Rapids, MI, Saturday, October 25th.
