Tallahassee, Fla. – September 26, 2025 – The Warner University Cross Country teams competed at the Seminole Invitational, hosted by Florida State University, facing one of the most competitive fields of their season with runners from NCAA Division I, II, and NAIA programs across the Southeast.
The Men's Cross Country team finished 31st overall in the 8K race, led by Dylan Atwater, who placed 201st with a time of 28:26. Cameron Gonzalez followed close behind in 203rd (28:28), while Derick Gomez recorded a 29:40 finish for 258th place. Steven Twiss came in 281st (30:20.9), with Sam Attard and Rian DeJesus rounding out the lineup at 316th (37:56.1) and 317th (39:44), respectively.
On the women's side, Amirah Johnson continued her impressive season with a 132nd-place finish in the 6K, clocking 23:52.2. Johnson also placed 6th among all NAIA and SUN Conference competitors in the race. Alexa Molina followed with a solid 226th-place finish, posting a time of 25:38.4.
The FSU Invitational served as an important midseason test for the Royals, providing valuable experience against a deep field of collegiate talent as they continue preparation for upcoming SUN Conference competition.
