LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Warner University Men's Soccer team hosted the St. Thomas University Bobcats on Saturday night at Royals Soccer Field for another SUN Conference matchup. Despite a strong effort, the Royals fell 4-1 to the Bobcats.
Warner's lone goal came from Filip Mo, who converted a penalty kick to put the Royals on the board. Mo's calm finish from the spot provided a bright moment in an otherwise tough contest against one of the conference's top offensive teams.
The Royals continued to battle throughout the match, with Jason Flaming and Chad McAuliff each recording a shot as Warner looked to generate scoring opportunities. In goal, Mikey Melvin put in a solid shift, playing 49 minutes and collecting four saves. Wesley Lacy also saw action in net, facing two shots while helping secure two team saves for the Royals.
Warner will look to regroup and turn their focus to the next stretch of conference play as the season continues.
