LAKE WALES, Fla - The Warner Women's basketball team will spend their New Year's on the road when they face-off with University of Mobile (AL) on December 30th and Loyola University (LA) on January 2nd.

The Royals are coming off their annual Warner Classic where they split their two games, beating Truett-McConnell University 63-39 and falling in a defensive battle with Culver-Stockton College (MO) 64-42. Warner will look to use this last week of non-conference play to solidify their identity and build momentum before they return to take on SUN Conference opponents in the new year. 

Warner vs. University of Mobile (AL) (3-12, 0-5 Southern States Athletic Conference) , Tuesday, December 30th:
Warner will end their 2025 in Alabama facing off against the Rams of University of Mobile on Tuesday. The Rams bring a fast pace of play ranking 35th in the country in FG's attempted per game, while the Royals will look to slow them down and use their physicality to continue to dominate the paint. 

Warner vs. Loyola University (LA) 8-2, 2-1 Southern States Athletic Conference), Friday, January 2nd:
The Royals will head to the Crescent City of New Orleans, Louisiana to match-up with Loyola University (LA). Warner's strong defense will go up against the Wolf Pack's high scoring offense where Loyola is averaging 73.3 Points per Game and the Royals only allow an average of 56.8 Points per Game. .

Warner Royals:

Bethany Howard - Continuing to lead the Royals in Points per Game with 11.4, the Sophomore will look to maintain her strong run of form this week. 

Julia Gilbert - Leading the Royals in 3PT's and a 3PT% of .386%, Gilbert has scored 10 or more points in 3 of the last 4 games and is sure to challenge the opposing defenses this week from beyond the arc. 


University of Mobile (AL): 

Jada Johnson - A Graduate Forward, Johnson leads the Rams in Scoring with 174 Points on the season, total Rebounds (103), and Blocks (12).

Emilee Duet - A Freshman Guard, leads the Rams in Assists (39) and Steals (33). She has also scored 110 Points so far this season. 


Loyola University (LA):

Deniya Thornton - A Junior Forward/Guard, Thornton leads the Wolf Pack in Scoring (16.9 PPG), Blocks (7), and Steals (27).

Alissa O'Dell - A Junior Forward/Center, O'Dell is second in Scoring averaging 15.3 PPG and leads the team in FG% (.554%) and Rebounds (95).
