WILLIAMSBURG, KY - On February 21, 2025, the Warner University Royals faced a tough challenge at the UC Lacrosse Complex against the Cumberlands Patriots from Kentucky in what was expected to be a heated regular season lacrosse battle. Despite a valiant effort, the Royals succumbed to the Patriots, with a final score of 17-2 in favor of Cumberlands.
From the onset, the Patriots set a demanding pace, leading the first half with a staggering 14-0 against the Royals. Warner's
Bailey Dykes and
Jaclyn Malagies managed to score once each in the second half, bringing some resilience to the team's performance. Assists were contributed by
Anaya Lister and
Vanessa Lynch, showcasing teamwork amidst a challenging game. Goalkeeper
Krisandra Ford also had notable moments despite the relentless offense from Cumberlands.
