FAYETTEVILLE, NC — The Warner University Competitive Cheer team continues its rise on the national stage with a standout performance at the 2025 CCA Collegiate Championships, held February 28–March 2 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The Royals earned an impressive 3rd-place finish in the Cheer: Gameday Division, showcasing heart, precision, and school spirit throughout the weekend.
Warner opened the championship with a first-round score of 84.65, followed by a dynamic second-round performance scoring 87.95 — bringing their overall score to 86.3 and earning a podium finish among some of the nation's best collegiate cheer programs.
In addition to the team's success, Head Coach Taylor Mercado received special recognition from the Christian Cheerleaders of America, being named one of the "National Top Christian Cheer Coaches" — a prestigious honor awarded to leaders who demonstrate outstanding character, leadership, and impact both on and off the mat.
The CCA Collegiate Championships highlight the values of excellence, sportsmanship, and faith in the world of cheerleading. Warner's presence and success at the event reflect the continued growth and mission of the program, grounded in integrity and Christ-like leadership.
This 3rd-place national finish follows the Royals' recent appearance at the UCA Nationals in Orlando and sets a strong foundation for continued success.
