KANSAS CITY, MO - The Warner University Flag Football team has officially made its mark on the national stage, dominating pool play at the 2025 NAIA Flag Football National Championships in Kansas City, Missouri. Entering as the No. 5 overall seed and the No. 2 seed in Pool D, the Royals delivered two powerful performances to advance to bracket play.

In their opening game, the Royals showcased a commanding presence on both sides of the ball, posting a 61-0 shutout victory over Southwestern College (Kan.). Warner's relentless defense stifled the Moundbuilders from the first whistle, while the offense fired on all cylinders to secure one of the most dominant wins in pool play.

The momentum carried into Game 2, where Warner faced off against a familiar SUN Conference rival — No. 4 overall seed and Pool D's top-seed, St. Thomas University. In a hard-fought, defensive battle, the Royals emerged victorious once again, grinding out a 6-2 win to go undefeated in pool play and knock off one of the tournament's top contenders.

With these wins, Warner secures a No. 2 overall spot in the NAIA Championship Bracket, where they will face Baker University, the No. 7 overall seed and No. 1 seed from Pool B, in a highly anticipated matchup. The anticipated run for the Royals is set for 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning as the Royals look to continue their historic postseason run.
