LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Warner University Women's Lacrosse team has been named the recipient of the 2025 Community Awareness Award by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), a prestigious honor recognizing outstanding commitment to service, sportsmanship, and community engagement at the NAIA level.

Throughout the 2024-25 academic year, the Royals have exemplified what it means to be student-athletes who serve beyond the field. Their presence was felt across the Lake Wales community and beyond, leaving an impact that resonated with those they served and those who watched them do it.

The team played a key role in the success of the Orange Blossom Revue, one of the area's premier festivals supporting art, education, and recreation. Warner Lacrosse players volunteered with parking and shuttle services, ensuring a smooth experience for all in attendance while representing the University with professionalism and heart.

In a show of character and respect within the sport, the Royals made it a point throughout the season to research each of their opponents and hand write personalized thank-you cards—a gesture that left a lasting impression on players and programs across the NAIA and NCAA lacrosse landscapes.

Their commitment to spreading joy didn't stop there. During the Savannah Bananas 2025 Banana Ball World Tour at Raymond James Stadium, the team brought smiles to thousands of fans as they donned banana suits and helped guests navigate the stadium, creating unforgettable memories for families and fans alike.

Warner University celebrates the Women's Lacrosse program for this incredible achievement and applauds their commitment to leadership, service, and uplifting others in the true spirit of Royals athletics.
