LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Royals faced off against the Webber International Warriors on August 26, 2025. The match, aptly named the Battle of the Crooked Lakes, ended with a slim margin, where the Royals were defeated 0-1 by the Warriors.

The game was characterized by challenging weather conditions with wet and rainy skies that undoubtedly influenced the gameplay. Throughout the first half, both teams struggled to find the back of the net, entering halftime with a stalemate at 0-0. Defensive efforts were particularly notable from Warner University, with the goalie Mikey Melvin making significant saves.

The only goal of the match came late in the second half at the 74th minute when Jack Chalmers of Webber International managed to score, tipping the balance in favor of the Warriors. This goal proved decisive, marking the game-winning moment.
