NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Royals ended their two game road trip in New Orleans, LA against a strong (RV) Loyola University (LA) team, falling 94-57.
Early foul trouble hurt the Royals ability to find a rhythm, while the Wolf Pack capitalized from the charity stripe going 8-11 in the 1st qtr and 32-39 from the FT line over the course of the game. After a slow start the Royals were able to find their footing in the middle two quarters, losing the 2nd qtr 19-t5 and tying the 3rd qtr with 22 each. The Wolf Pack were able to take advantage of the mounting fouls on the Royals and pull away in the 4th to come out on top. Â
Aleyna Sherman led the Royals in scoring with
17 points, her 2nd highest scoring performance of the season, going 7-18 overall and 2-6 from 3PT range. Sherman also recorded
4 Assists, 4 Rebounds, and
2 Steals in today's game.Â
The Royals shot
19-67 (28.4%, FG%) overall,
4-14 (28.6%) from beyond the 3PT arc, and
