RECAP: Tripp Records Career High in SUN Conference Matchup Against Coastal Georgia

LAKE WALES, Fla. – Warner Women's Basketball put together a strong offensive effort Saturday afternoon but came up short in a 72–67 loss to College of Coastal Georgia in a SUN Conference matchup at the Turner Athletic Center. The Royals stayed within reach throughout the contest, battling until the final minutes in a tightly contested home game.

Cameron Tripp delivered a standout performance for Warner, scoring a career-high 21 points while setting career marks across the board. Tripp shot 7-of-16 from the field, knocked down two three-pointers, and went 5-of-6 from the free-throw line to lead all scorers.

On the boards, Chanelle Harrison powered the Royals with a game-high 11 rebounds and added a team-best three assists alongside Tripp. Defensively, Aleyna Sherman led Warner with three steals, while Carissa Marthy provided rim protection with two blocks.

Warner was efficient from the perimeter and aggressive attacking the basket, finishing 40.0 percent from three-point range (4-of-10) and converting a season-high 23 free throws. The Royals shot 37.0 percent from the field (20-of-54) and recorded nine steals as they applied pressure throughout the afternoon.

The Royals now turn their attention back to the road, traveling to Miami Gardens, Florida, to face SUN Conference opponent Florida Memorial University on Wednesday, January 28th, at 5:30 p.m.
