RECAP: Crockett Record Career High in SUN Conference Matchup Against Florida Memorial

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Warner Women's Basketball battled on the road Wednesday evening but came up short in a 73–62 loss to Florida Memorial University in a SUN Conference matchup at 5:30 p.m. The Royals competed throughout the contest, showing toughness and efficiency at the free-throw line against the conference foe.

Bethany Howard led Warner with 19 points, shooting 6-of-13 from the field and knocking down seven free throws. Lacienega Crockett added a strong offensive performance of her own, scoring a career-high 16 points to give the Royals a balanced scoring effort.

Howard also paced Warner on the boards with seven rebounds, while Aleyna Sherman facilitated the offense with two assists. Defensively, the Royals were active, recording 10 steals as a team. Crockett and Chanelle Harrison led that effort with three steals each.

Inside, Warner received rim protection from Anabelle Gogol and Howard, who each recorded a block. As a team, the Royals shot 32.1 percent from the field (17-of-53) and 28.6 percent from three-point range (4-of-14), while turning in their best free-throw performance of the season by converting 24-of-30 attempts (80 percent).

Warner will look to bounce back as they continue their road stretch, traveling to West Palm Beach, Florida, to face SUN Conference opponent Keiser University on Wednesday, February 4th, at 5:30 p.m.
