Box Score JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Warner Men's Soccer team wrapped up their non-conference season on Tuesday with a dramatic 2-to-1 win on the road at Trinity College of Jacksonville. After trailing by 1 goal in the 1st half, the Royals rallied to score the game winner with only 20 seconds remaining in the match.
The Royals dominated the opening the phase of play on Tuesday against the Eagles, recording 13 shots in the first 35 minutes while holding TCJ to only 1 shot. Completely against the run of play, the Eagles found the back of the net first scoring in the 38th minute to put the Royals down 1. It did not take long for Warner to find an answer as
Noah Farrington scored his 1st goal of the season, and the 2nd of his career, off a corner kick. Farrington's goal was assisted by Sophomore
Kona Vega, which was his 1st point in his Collegiate Career. Each team added 1 more scoring chance before the end of the half, but neither could find the back of the net as the teams would enter half time locked at 1 goal each.
The 2nd half opened up as both teams pushed to find a game winner as the two programs created chances on either end of the pitch. Royals goalkeeper,
Wesley Lacy, made his 1st appearance in goal for Warner since returning from injury suffered in 2025. Lacy secured 2 huge saves for the Royals during the 2nd half to keep the two teams locked at 1 to give his teammates an opportunity to fight for a game winner before the final whistle. The Royals offense pressed the Eagles defense throughout the half and their pressure paid off with a game winner from
Wade Bishop with only 20 seconds remaining in the match. Bishop's match-winner was created on a Royals counter attack that began in the midfield, before the ball was sent in on a long cross from the right wing and into the box where
Jackson Davenport headed the ball across the goal to Bishop. Bishop settled the ball and blasted a shot past the goalkeeper while under pressure to secure the Royals 4th win of the season.
Warner's final stat line from Tuesday saw the Royals record 20 total shots, 10 on goal, 3 corner kicks and 2 saves. The Royals will look to build upon their dramatic win in their return to SUN play on Saturday at St. Thomas,
