WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Warner Women's Basketball faced a tough SUN Conference test on the road Wednesday evening, falling 73–40 to Keiser University in a 5:30 p.m. matchup in West Palm Beach. The Royals continued to compete despite the challenge, gaining valuable experience against one of the conference's top programs.
Aleyna Sherman led Warner offensively with 12 points, shooting 5-of-14 from the field and adding a three-pointer. Sherman also helped facilitate the offense, finishing with three assists alongside Briana Gill-Guyette.
On the glass, Anabelle Gogol and Alexis Randall shared team-high rebounding honors with seven boards apiece. Gogol also made her presence felt defensively, leading the Royals with two steals, while Bethany Howard added a block in the paint.
As a team, Warner shot 25.0 percent from the field (14-of-56) and 28.6 percent from three-point range (4-of-14). The Royals went 8-of-18 from the free-throw line (44.4 percent) as they worked to generate offense throughout the contest.
Warner returns home for its next SUN Conference matchup, hosting Ave Maria University on Saturday, February 7th, at 2:00 p.m. inside the Turner Athletic Center in Lake Wales, Florida.
