LAKE WALES, Fla. - Warner University continued its historic start to the 2026 season Friday afternoon, blanking the Brewton-Parker Barons 80-0 in the SUN Conference opener at Tye Athletic Field.
With the victory, the Royals recorded their third straight shutout and posted the second-most points in program history, following up last game's record-setting performance with yet another dominant display on both sides of the ball.
Warner wasted no time asserting control, capitalizing on early defensive takeaways to create short fields and quick-strike opportunities. The offense once again operated with efficiency and explosiveness, stretching the field vertically and finishing drives in the red zone. The Royals built a commanding 67-0, halftime advantage and never allowed Brewton-Parker to gain momentum.
While the offense delivered another high-scoring performance, it was the Warner defense that stole the spotlight. The Royals forced an astonishing 11 interceptions, four of which were returned for touchdowns. The secondary was relentless from start to finish, jumping routes, pressuring the quarterback into hurried throws, and turning turnovers directly into points. The defensive unit's energy and communication set the tone early and completely disrupted the Barons' offensive rhythm.
The front seven complemented the takeaway surge with consistent pressure, collapsing the pocket and forcing off-balance throws that led to multiple pick-sixes. The collective defensive effort marked one of the most dominant single-game performances in program history.
With three straight shutouts to open the season and back-to-back 80+ point outings at home, Warner continues to set a new standard in 2026.
Up Next
The Royals now turn their attention to postseason-style competition as they travel to Tampa, Florida for the IFFA Tournament, scheduled for March 5th–7th, 2026. Warner will look to carry its undefeated record and dominant defensive momentum into tournament play as they continue their remarkable 2026 campaign.
