LAKE WALES, Fla. - Warner Women's Lacrosse continued its homestand on Wednesday, March 11, hosting Malone University at the Tye Athletic Field in Lake Wales, Florida. Despite a 12-6 final, the Royals displayed defensive toughness and steady progress against a disciplined Malone squad.
Warner remained competitive throughout the contest, battling in the midfield and creating opportunities on the offensive end. The Royals showed improved execution and composure, particularly in the second half, as they worked to close the gap and maintain pressure.
E'Mya Miller and Anaya Lister led the scoring effort with two goals each, pacing the Royals' attack. Vanessa Lynch facilitated the offense with three assists, helping generate quality scoring chances through effective ball movement.
Defensively, Warner turned in one of its strongest efforts of the season. Makenna Day was a force on that end, recording four caused turnovers and consistently disrupting Malone's offensive rhythm. Miller and Ella McFadden each contributed four ground balls, helping the Royals compete for possession and limit second-chance opportunities.
The Royals continue to build momentum through a challenging stretch of competition, showing growth in both defensive intensity and offensive cohesion.
Warner will remain at home as they prepare to host St. Mary's College on March 14 at the Tye Athletic Field in Lake Wales, Florida.
